Good Friday morning to everyone. Need your help guys. I'm looking for potential Dart players which will represent our town. I used to manage a Dart team (DASMA - Darters of San Mateo)who competes in National Tournaments sanctioned by the National Darts Federation of the Phils (NDFP). This is where you'll find and meet professional Dart players located all over the country.
The last time our team participated in such event was approx 2 years ago and our team placed a decent 7th place, overall, among 20+ teams.
Today, with the overwhelming success of Darts nationwide, as well as worldwide, I decided to form a new team which will participate in upcoming tournaments within Metro Manila and Marikina and other neighboring cities and provinces.
The main objective of ours is to give the youth something they can spend their time productively and shove them away from vises that can ruin their futures.
There are a handful of good dart players in San Mateo who are already competing in the abovementioned league, but what I'm looking for are the new breed of darters, committed and aspiring to be famous and be recognized not only in the Phils but in the Global circuit as well.
To give you a bird's eyeview on who and how the NDFP operates, this entity is tireless in the pursuit of the best filipino dart player who will represent our country in various international competitions. They've just finished the Qualifying Leg of the World Darts Championships which was held at the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall a few months back and is continuing to provide a transparent, open and competitive level of the sport nationwide.
Aside from the weekly dart leagues NDFP is sanctioning, this group has successfully launched numerous dart tours that saw big amount of prizes being given away. And one event the group is promoting is the 2 Million Manny Pacquiao Dart Classic which will be held on December 12-15, 2008 in General Santos City.
Manny Pacquiao also plays darts and personally believes that the Filipinos can be recognized worldwide thru this sports, just like what he has done in boxing.
And to give you a glimpse on how we Filipinos play the sport, I am inviting everybody to watch the coverage of the Qualifying Matches of the World Darts Championships on November 30, 2008, 6pm at Solar Sports, this will have a replay on December 3 at 330pm.
So, if anybody knows anybody who's willing and able to undergo a rigorous training, please do not hesistate to text me on my mobile# 0906-487-0394.
The team that I will be forming will be competing actively by next year, 2009.
Likewise, I wish to seek the help of our local government to support our cause. Thank you very much, and I hope to hear from you guys soon.
